MP CM says state now power surplus

Bhopal, Sep 22 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Tuesday asserted that Madhya Pradesh has transformed from a state of power shortages into a power-surplus state, and the state is now among the few states capable of meeting its own energy requirements as well as contributing to the country's energy needs. He noted that renewable energy and energy storage are important not only for the country's energy security but also for overall environmental sustainability. The CM informed that Madhya Pradesh currently has an energy capacity of 32,000 MW, of which 30 per cent comes from clean energy.…
