UP RS Polls: BJP may opt for new faces

Vidya Shankar Rai Lucknow, Sep 28 (UNI) Following the announcement of the election schedule for the 10 Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, deliberations have intensified within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over its possible candidates, with the party reportedly considering several new faces. Party sources said the BJP may choose not to give a second chance to some sitting members and could instead field fresh candidates. The names of former union Minister Smriti Irani and BJP National General Secretary Harish Dwivedi are among those being discussed.
