OP Rajbhar targets Akhilesh Yadav over 'work from home' politics, luxury lifestyle

Lucknow, Sept 19 (UNI) Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) president and Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, questioning his alleged luxury lifestyle and accusing him of staying away from the poor, Dalits and extremely backward communities.

In a social media post, Rajbhar sarcastically referred to Yadav's political activities as "work from home", alleging that the SP chief preferred operating from the comfort of an air-conditioned room rather than reaching out to people on the ground. "Akhilesh ji, how is your 'work from home' going?" Work from home, sitting in AC and using a PC,"Rajbhar wrote, referring to Yadav's alleged preference for working from home using a computer. Rajbhar also targeted Yadav over an alleged Rs 20-crore luxury car, claiming that the vehicle has been ordered in a "Hollywood-style"of saffron colour.

Taking a dig at the SP chief, Rajbhar said that even when Yadav eventually steps out during elections, he would continue to enjoy the comforts of home inside the luxury vehicle. The minister alleged that Yadav is reluctant to visit poorer sections of society because he feared that people would question his politics and expose him. He also accused Akhilesh Yadav of distancing himself from Dalits and extremely backward classes and said that the SP chief might even fear having to use sanitiser after shaking hands with members of these communities.

"Akhilesh has been enjoying VIP amenities surrounding him, including armoured vehicles, elevators and rooftops," the minister added. Rajbhar said the public is closely watching Akhilesh Yadav, his politics and his party workers. He claimed that Yadav's alleged "work-from-home" approach was also under public scrutiny and that voters would respond at the appropriate time.
