UP: Former leader of the opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary passes away

Lucknow, Sep 25 (UNI) Veteran socialist leader and former leader of the opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Ram Govind Chaudhary, passed away here on Friday night. He was around 80 and breathed his last at the SGPGI hospital in Lucknow. The former UP minister had closely worked with Jayaprakash Narayan and Chandra Shekhar. He was a close associate of late Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 2017 to 2022.
