Former HP chief Minister PK Dhumal clarify his stand on Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) issue

Hamirpur(HP), Nov 7 (UNI) Former HP chief Minister PK Dhumal said various individuals and organizations are offering their own interpretations based on their personal understanding on the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB). "Unfortunately, some people express opinions without first verifying the facts," he observed in a statement. He noted: "When Punjab was reorganized on November 1, 1966, Haryana became a separate state, and the hilly regions were integrated into Himachal Pradesh. In accordance with a parliamentary decision, assets and liabilities were distributed among Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh in proportion to the population that became part of each respective state.…
