IMD warns of extremely heavy rain in coastal Andhra, widespread showers across southern India till Oct 24

Panchkula, Oct 18 (UNI) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday warned of extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and heavy to very heavy showers in Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, while forecasting widespread rainfall across several southern states until October 24. Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh are expected to remain dry during the next seven days.
