Himachal HC orders halt to construction, flags alleged collusion by officials

Shimla, Oct 16 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh High Court has questioned the police over the omission of known suspects from an FIR in a case involving alleged unauthorised multi-storey construction and tree felling in Shimla, while ordering an immediate halt to all construction at the site between Boileauganj and Chakkar. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice G S Sandhawalia and Justice Bipin C Negi directed the Municipal Corporation, Shimla, to issue stop-construction orders forthwith, expressing serious concern over the findings of a report submitted by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA).
