FCM emerges as strong pillar for maternal health in UP

Manoj Bhadra Lucknow, Sep 30 (UNI) Anaemia during pregnancy remains a significant public health challenge, posing risks to both maternal well-being and neonatal health. In a bid to strengthen maternal healthcare and improve outcomes for pregnant women, the Uttar Pradesh government has expanded its treatment framework by introducing Ferric Carboxymaltose (FCM) for managing anaemia. The initiative is already showing encouraging early results, with departmental data indicating that more than 10,000 doses of FCM have been administered so far.
