Haryana mobilises 1,420 volunteers across 142 blocks for TB elimination drive

Panchkula, Oct 8 (UNI) Haryana has mobilised 1,420 volunteers across all 142 administrative blocks under the tuberculosis elimination campaign, completing the formation of JOSH teams in all 23 districts ahead of its inclusion in the national pilot phase, the Health Department stated on Thursday. The mobilisation comprises 710 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets and 710 MY Bharat volunteers, with 142 Class-I officers appointed as block nodal officers. District-level coordination committees have also been constituted across the state. The announcement came as union Health Minister J.P. Nadda launched JOSH (Joint Squad for Health) teams nationally at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.…
