Aadhaar Linking, DBT Made Mandatory for Social Security Pensioners in Kangra

Dharamshala, Nov 7 (UNI) Aadhaar seeding and Aadhaar-based payment have been made mandatory for the uninterrupted disbursement of social security pensions in Kangra district. District Welfare Officer Kangra, Sahil Mandla, said here on Saturday that all beneficiaries of social security pensions, including old-age, disability, widow and other pension schemes, must link their bank or post office accounts with their Aadhaar cards to ensure regular and timely payment. He said the government was disbursing social security pensions through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank or post office accounts of beneficiaries.
