A cleanup drive carried out at Manikarnika Ghat in Kashi

Varanasi, Sep 22 (UNI) Following the decline in the Ganges water level, the Varanasi Municipal Corporation launched a massive cleaning drive at Manikarnika Ghat on Tuesday. During the drive, approximately 100 kilograms of discarded clothing, polythene, and other waste were removed from the Ganga bed and the banks of the ghat. After the floodwaters receded, Namami Gange Kashi Region Coordinator and the Municipal Corporation's Cleanliness Brand Ambassador, Rajesh Shukla, led his team and municipal sanitation workers to conduct a special cleanup drive.
