Cyclone Murasu to hit Andhra coast tonight with winds up to 120 kmph: IMD

Panchkula, Nov 2 (UNI) Severe cyclonic storm Murasu is expected to cross the south Andhra Pradesh coast late Monday night or early Tuesday, bringing winds gusting up to 120 kmph, extremely heavy rainfall and a possible storm surge in low-lying coastal areas, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday. In its morning weather bulletin, the IMD said the storm was moving west-northwestwards at a speed of 25 kmph over the west-central and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal.
