Haryana to hold state-level Nagara competition in Kurukshetra on Oct 16

Panchkula, Oct 14 (UNI) The Haryana Art and Cultural Affairs Department will organise a state-level Nagara (Banchari) competition at the Multi Art Centre in Kurukshetra on October 16 to promote traditional folk music and preserve the state's indigenous percussion heritage, a spokesperson said on Wednesday. The competition will offer cash prizes of Rs 75,000, Rs 65,000, and Rs 55,000 to the first-, second-, and third-placed teams, respectively, as well as five consolation prizes of Rs 10,000 each.
