HP: Nurpur police crack down on illegal mining, seize seven vehicles

Nurpur (Himachal Pradesh), Sep 23 (UNI) Nurpur Police on Wednesday seized two JCB machines, four tippers and a tractor allegedly being used in illegal mining activities at separate locations in the district, police said here today. Nurpur Superintendent of police Ilma Afroz told UNI that a CIA-1 team intercepted the machinery during a patrol near Chakki Bridge at Kandwal, where illegal mining was allegedly underway in the Chakki Khad.
