Karnal civic body clerk caught taking Rs 5,000 bribe for property ID correction: ACB

Panchkula, Sep 29 (UNI) The Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested a clerk posted in the tax branch of the Karnal Municipal Corporation after allegedly catching him red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 for making a category-related correction in a property ID, an official spokesman said on Tuesday. The accused, identified as Gaurav, was arrested by an ACB team at the new bus stand complex in Karnal while allegedly accepting the money from the complainant, the spokesman said.
