Haryana anti-graft bureau arrests two power utility staff in separate bribery traps

Chandigarh, Sep 19 (UNI) Haryana's anti-corruption bureau arrested two electricity utility employees in separate operations on Saturday, including an assistant lineman accused of seeking a total of Rs7 lakh for arranging a power connection and related work, officials said. The two cases, registered in Sonipat and Jind, involved employees linked to the state's northern and southern power distribution utilities, and bribes ranging from Rs5,000 to Rs2 lakh, according to the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB).
