Palwal police arrest man over Rs 3 lakh fake gold fraud

Palwal, Oct 27 (UNI) Police have arrested a man accused of cheating a Uttar Pradesh resident of Rs 3 lakh by selling him fake gold and recovered Rs 60,000, a police spokesman said on Tuesday. The accused, identified as Saddam alias Jani, a resident of Maluka village in Palwal district, was sent to judicial custody after completing two days of police remand. According to the complaint filed on September 22, Suresh Kumar of Sahibabad in Ghaziabad alleged that Saddam befriended him after introducing himself as a scrap dealer and offered to sell him gold at a low price.
