ED searches Patiala, Mohali premises in fake call-centre probe; Majithia alleges fraud targeting foreigners

Neeraj Bali Chandigarh, Sep 16 (UNI) India's Enforcement Directorate (ED) searched premises in Punjab's Patiala and Mohali overnight as part of an investigation into alleged fake call-centre operations and cyber fraud, with investigators examining documents and computer records, according to officials and local media reports. The searches began late on Tuesday at commercial premises in Urban Estate Phase II in Patiala and continued into Wednesday. Senior officials said two establishments operating from the area has been sealed while the searches are underway.
