Deoria seafarer killed in attack on MV Cape Dao off Oman;family, village mourn

Deoria, Sep 24 (UNI) Grief descended on Karmajitpur village in Deoria after 25-year-old seafarer Suraj Yadav was killed when the commercial vessel MV Cape Dao came under attack off Oman's eastern coast. According to a police official, the deceased has been identified as Suraj Yadav (25), who was a resident of Deoria's Karmajitpur village under Gauri Bazar police station in Uttar Pradesh, and son of Om Prakash Yadav. He was working as a 'wiper' aboard the commercial vessel MV Cape Dao. Notably, Suraj Yadav had left for Oman nearly six weeks ago. Suraj, the eldest of four brothers, was unmarried.…
