J&K has 38,872 vacant government posts

Srinagar, Sept 21 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday disclosed that 40,672 government posts are vacant across various departments under the Direct Recruitment Quota. The data was shared by Minister in- charge in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to a question raised by Congress MLA Irfan Hafiz Lone. The data showed 3,318 vacancies in the Gazetted category, 24,427 in the Non-Gazetted category and 12,927 multi-tasking services (MTS) The department-wise data shows that the Health and Medical Education Department has the highest number of vacancies, with 12,797 posts lying vacant, including 2,125 Gazetted, 8,064 Non-Gazetted and 2,608 MTS…
