J&K: Protest seeking official language status to Punjab intensifies in Jammu

Jammu, Oct 4 (UNI) The campaign demanding official language status for Punjabi in Jammu and Kashmir intensified on the fourth day of the indefinite Morcha, as protest rallies were taken out across Jammu region. A protest rally was taken out here in Sainik Colony, Jammu, where members of the Sikh community raised their voice for constitutional recognition of Punjabi. Similar rallies were also organised in Vijaypur, Kathua and other areas of Jammu, giving the ongoing campaign a wider grassroots character.
