Lucknow, Nov 7 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a 3 per cent hike in dearness allowance (DA) as a Diwali gift for state employees, including regular and full-time staff of aided educational and technical institutions, urban local bodies, temporary employees and those drawing salaries under the UGC pay scale. Employees will now receive a 63 per cent DA instead of 60 per cent. The increased rate will be effective from July 1, 2026. A government order was issued on Saturday.
