Naveen Patnaik urges Odisha Government to ensure adequate compensation for Ganjam flood victims

Bhubaneswar, Nov 7 (UNI) Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik on Saturday urged the Odisha Government to provide adequate compensation, immediate relief and rehabilitation assistance to farmers and families affected by the recent floods in Ganjam district, stressing that their suffering must not be ignored. Patnaik made the appeal after visiting several flood-affected areas of the district, where he took stock of the damage caused by the floods and interacted with distressed families, farmers and local residents to understand their problems and assess their immediate needs.
