UP PWD submits road development proposals worth Rs 22,000 crore

By Vidya Shankar Rai Lucknow, Sep 19 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) has submitted development proposals worth around Rs 22,000 crore to the state government for various road and infrastructure works, officials said, as the state prepares for the next Assembly elections. According to department officials, financial and administrative approvals for the proposals are expected in the coming weeks, following which work on several road projects could be expedited.Officials stated that once these proposals are approved by the government, they will help advance road construction work before the elections.
