Pension support helps over 42 lakh women rebuild their lives after losing their husbands in UP

Lucknow, Nov 1(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Government Destitute Women Pension Scheme for Women is playing an important role in supporting women facing financial challenges following the loss of their spouses. Through the scheme, the government has provided regular financial assistance to more than 42 lakh women across the state. According to official figures up to the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27, each eligible woman receives a monthly pension of Rs 1,000.
