UP government to purchase over 1 million cartridges for the training of 41,424 Home Guard candidates

Lucknow, Sep 22 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government is purchasing over 1 million cartridges for 5.56 mm rifles for 41,424 Home Guard candidates to train them in weapon handling and firing practice. This purchase will be made by the Home Guard Department through the Special Task Force (STF). Government will spend Rs 35.5 million for this. This is the first time in Uttar Pradesh that more than 1 million cartridges are being purchased for the training of Home Guard candidates.
