Centre allows Haryana to start Kharif procurement from Sept 29, reiterates safeguards against irregular purchases

Panchkula, Sept 28 (UNI) The Centre on Monday allowed Haryana to begin procurement for the Kharif Marketing Season (KMS) 2026-27 from September 29 instead of October 1, advancing the exercise by two days while reiterating safeguards against irregular procurement. The Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD) conveyed its approval to the Haryana government following the state's requests on September 15 and September 23.
