Haryana Doubles Journalists' Welfare Assistance to Rs 5 Lakh; Media Body Seeks Health Cover, Higher Pension

Panchkula, Oct 10 (UNI) The Media Wellbeing Association (MWB) on Saturday welcomed the Haryana government's decision to double financial assistance under the Haryana Media Personnel Welfare Fund Distribution Scheme from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, while urging Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to introduce cashless health insurance and enhance the monthly pension for retired journalists to Rs 30,000.
