Saini orders seizure, heavy fines for Delhi waste vehicles entering Gurugram

Gurugram, Oct 2 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday directed authorities to seize vehicles bringing garbage from Delhi into Gurugram and impose heavy fines, while ordering tighter accountability of officials for civic services and announcing a Rs 1,993.59-crore underground water supply project for the city. The directions were issued at a review meeting on Gurugram's development works, civic infrastructure and public grievances. Saini said the city's cleanliness and environment could not be compromised and directed the administration to take strict action against vehicles found bringing waste into Gurugram from Delhi.
