Haryana orders 24-hour pollution surveillance in Jhajjar, power cuts for illegal industrial units

Jhajjar, Oct 11 (UNI) With winter approaching and air pollution threatening to worsen across the National Capital Region (NCR), the Haryana administration has ordered round-the-clock surveillance of pollution hotspots in Jhajjar district, warning of strict action against industrial units, vehicles and other sources violating environmental norms. Deputy Commissioner Varsha Khangwal has directed officials to intensify field inspections, disconnect electricity connections of illegal industrial units in accordance with rules and launch a village-level crackdown on stubble burning as part of a coordinated strategy to prevent deterioration in air quality.
