Worker killed, another injured in fall from 19th floor at Gurugram construction site; protest turns violent

Panchkula, Sep 19 (UNI) A 19-year-old construction worker was killed and another seriously injured after they fell while working on the 19th floor of an under-construction building in Gurugram on Saturday, triggering a protest by workers who allegedly assaulted company officials over claims of inadequate safety measures. The deceased was identified as Dilkhush, a resident of Katihar in Bihar, while the injured worker, Vasudev, is from West Bengal. Vasudev reportedly got stuck on an intermediate floor during the fall and suffered serious injuries.
