Left Parties demand CEC Gyanesh Kumar's ouster, halt to SIR; protesters detained outside EC headquarters

New Delhi, Sep 29 (UNI) Left parties on Tuesday demanded the immediate removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, a halt to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the restoration of all eligible voters whose names have been deleted, as dozens of protesters were detained during a demonstration outside the Election Commission of India headquarters in the national capital.
