Tranquilised tigress to be brought from Bihar for Buxa tiger reintroduction

Haimara, Sep 29 (UNI) Forest officials on Tuesday successfully tranquilised a tigress at Bihar's Valmiki Tiger Reserve, paving the way for its proposed reintroduction in West Bengal's Buxa Tiger Reserve in Alipurduar district. West Bengal Forest Minister Manoj Kumar Oraon said on Tuesday evening that the tigress was tranquilised after forest officials made repeated attempts over the past seven days.
