Congress demands EC Probe into Nagaon Attack, seeks action against erring officials

New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) The Congress on Tuesday demanded an independent Election Commission of India probe into the alleged attack on its leaders, including former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Gaurav Gogoi, during an election campaign in Assam's Nagaon district, and sought suspension of officials accused of failing to prevent the violence.
