India issues advisory warning against joining the Russian army

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) India on Wednesday issued an advisory warning about the dangers faced by Indian nationals recruited into Russia's armed forces, including those individuals who willingly give up their Indian citizenship lured by monetary benefits. The Ministry of External Affairs in a statement said it is engaged with Russia to ensure the early discharge of its citizens. The advisory comes amidst continuing reports of Indians getting recruited into the Russian army, to fight the Ukraine war, and of body bags returning home.
