Mumbai, Sept 30 (UNI) In a massive push to eliminate property fraud and wipe out proxy impersonation, the Maharashtra government has officially made biometric identity verification compulsory for all real estate transactions. Under a decisive new policy announced by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, identity authentication is now a strict pre-requisite for 63 distinct types of property documents-including purchases, sales, gift deeds, mortgage deeds, and family partitions.
