COAS unveils SAMARTH framework for 'wars with pause'

New Delhi, Sep 27 (UNI) Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth on Sunday unveiled the SAMARTH framework to prepare the Indian Army for prolonged conflicts, which he described as "wars with pause", stressing that self-reliance must extend beyond indigenous production to sustaining and upgrading combat capabilities. Addressing a Defence Conclave organised by a private media house, Seth said changing warfare dynamics demanded faster modernisation, technological adaptation and the ability to sustain operations over extended periods.
