Centre reconstitutes CBFC with 18-member board for three-year term

New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) The Centre has reconstituted the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with 18 members, giving the statutory film-certification body a new composition for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The reconstitution was notified by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on September 16 under the provisions of the Cinematograph Act, 1952, and the Cinematograph (Certification) Rules, 2024.
