Baba Ramdev dismisses allegations against Patanjali ghee & medicines
New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has rejected claims questioning the quality and authenticity of Patanjali products, including its medicines and ghee, and has categorically stated that all products are authentic and laboratory-tested. Addressing media persons at Constitution Club of India today, Ramdev said that allegations calling Patanjali Cow Ghee and medicines fake are completely baseless and driven by hearsay and vested interests.
"Neither our ghee nor our medicines are fake. Every product manufactured by Patanjali goes through stringent checks and quality control, prepared as per the ancient principles of Ayurveda," he said. "It is the biggest lie that Ramdev is selling fake ghee, Patanjali ghee has never failed in any test, and people keep spreading lies, and rumors, No vegetable oil, no such mixing is done, in Patanjali ghee," Ramdev asserted. He emphasized that Patanjali products are based on evidence based scientific research.
He also urged for an amendment in the The Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, stressing that Ayurveda cannot be undermined by this law. Launching a sharp attack on those who call Ayurveda a 'pseudoscience,' Ramdev called such people "intellectually bankrupt". He said that people may keep saying whatever they want based on hearsay, adding that he does not believe in rumors.
He emphasized that crores of Patanjali's satisfied consumers across the country and overseas are the biggest proof of the quality of products. He said that those uncomfortable with the rise of the Swadeshi brand, are the ones spreading rumors and making false claims, adding that such things will never stop Patanjali from moving forward. He said that the brand has grown significantly, and has thousands of products and provides employment to lakhs of people, and the number will continue to grow in future.
