Bengal CM announces measures for farmers, promises special package for potato growers

Burdwan, Sep 25 (UNI) Announcing a slew of measures for farmers, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday said his government would not tolerate middlemen and would soon announce a special package for potato growers. On his maiden visit to East Burdwan district after assuming office as Chief Minister, Adhikari said there would be no upper limit on government procurement of paddy. Burdwan is considered the rice bowl of West Bengal.
