Bengal: Greenfield airport proposed between Malda and Gazole to improve regional connectivity

Siliguri, Oct 9 (UNI) A fresh initiative has been taken to set up a greenfield airport between Malda and Gazole Assembly segments in Uttar Malda parliamentary constituency, with the district administration identifying a proposed site for the project. Uttar Malda MP Khagen Murmu said the proposed site was inspected on Friday in the presence of district administration officials. The proposal will be sent to the concerned higher authorities for further consideration, paving the way for a possible visit by officials of the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
