Odisha mobile users' base grows 1.84 lakh in August: TRAI data

Bhubaneswar, Sep 29 (UNI) Odisha's mobile subscriber base grew by about 1.84 lakh in August to reach 3.92 crore, with Reliance Jio accounting for nearly 87 per cent of the net additions, adding 1.6 lakh subscribers, according to TRAI data. Jio's subscriber additions were substantially higher than those of other operators. Airtel added 12,960 subscribers during the month, followed by BSNL with 8,187 and Vodafone Idea with 3,904. Jio also added more than 14,800 home broadband subscribers in Odisha in August, with over 80 per cent of new Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) connections going to the company, the data showed.…
