Odisha: NHRC seeks fresh report on alleged abduction, gang rape of newlywed in Kendrapada

Kendrapada, Sep 29 (UNI) The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought a fresh status report from the Kendrapada Superintendent of Police (SP) and the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) by October 29 on the alleged abduction and gang rape of a newly married woman, with particular focus on the progress of the investigation and victim compensation. The Commission, after considering the police report on September 21, directed the Kendrapada SP to furnish the latest status of the investigation, including the arrest status of each accused.
