Deep depression likely to bring more rain than wind to Bengal

Kolkata, Sep 23 (UNI) The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal is likely to bring more impact from rainfall than strong winds as it moves slowly towards landfall near Kalingapatnam tonight, the MET office said on Wednesday. According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Alipore, the system slowed down further today and was moving at 5 kmph, compared with its earlier speed of 18 kmph on the day it formed on Monday.
