Jharkhand Congress accuses BJP of double standards over property registration surcharge

Ranchi, Oct 29 (UNI) The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee on Thursday accused the BJP of double standards over the proposed additional 10 per cent surcharge on property registration, asking the opposition party to explain why a similar concession for women introduced by its government was withdrawn in 2020. Congress state secretary and spokesperson Rishikesh Singh said the BJP was engaging in political opportunism by criticising the Hemant Soren government's decision while avoiding questions about its own tenure.
