Mamata Trinamool unveils new logo with footballer symbol

Kolkata, Sep 21 (UNI) Mamata Trinamool has unveiled a new logo after the Election Commission's interim directive barred the faction from using the party's old name and the twin-flower symbol. The new logo features a footballer as the party's symbol at the centre, with the words "Mamata All India Trinamool Congress" written in white against a blue background. The logo also incorporates saffron, white and green. The move comes ahead of the October 6 by-elections in Nandigram in East Midnapore and Rejinagar in Murshidabad. Elections to the Kolkata and Howrah municipal corporations are also expected after the Durga Puja festivities.…
