Tripura lady sentenced to 3 years' imprisonment in drug case

Agartala, Sept 16 (UNI) A woman has been sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonment by a Special NDPS Court in South Tripura in a case related to the seizure of prohibited cough syrup in January last year. The conviction represents part of the broader initiative under the "Nasha Mukt Tripura Abhiyan" aimed at combating the unlawful trade and circulation of narcotic drugs throughout the state, police said.
