Meghalaya HC stays Rs 4 cr income tax notices against Paul Lyngdoh

Shillong, Sep 30 (UNI) A division bench of the Meghalaya High Court has stayed the Income Tax Department's efforts to recover an accumulated tax demand exceeding Rs 4 crore from former Tourism minister and United Democratic Party legislator, Paul Lyngdoh. The order was passed on Tuesday by a bench comprising Justice Hamarsan Singh Thangkhiew and Justice Biswadeep Bhattacharjee while hearing a writ petition filed by Lyngdoh challenging the impugned notices.
