Purulia, Sep 20 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said his government would not allow commercial mining or real estate development in the hills of Purulia, asserting that the region's natural environment would be protected. Speaking at the Karam Mahotsav at Chakoltor in Karadih under Purulia-I block on Sunday, Adhikari said the state government would oppose any "unscientific commercial exploitation" of the hills.
