Bengal: BJP fields 40 campaigners for Nandigram, Rejinagar bypolls

Kolkata, Sep 18 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has drawn up an extensive campaign plan for the October 6 by-elections to the Nandigram and Rejinagar Assembly constituencies, naming around 40 leaders to campaign for its candidates. The list includes state BJP president Samik Bhattacharya, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and actor-turned-politician Mithun Chakraborty, besides several senior state and central leaders. The party's Central Office has released the list of star campaigners, which also includes Dilip Ghosh, Sukanta Majumdar, Rahul Sinha, Shantanu Thakur, Locket Chatterjee, Agnimitra Paul, Nishith Pramanik, Ashok Dinda and Soumendu Adhikari, among others.
